Our achievements

We are celebrating the achievement of Lynn Walker, who has been awarded Fellowship of the Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals (ISEP).

The finalists for this year's Nottinghamshire Healthcare's Outstanding Service Contribution and Recognition Scheme (OSCARS) have been revealed.

The Trust has been shortlisted for the Best Reduction of Food Waste, in The Awards for Excellence Waste Management for the NHS, in recognition of its work to significantly reduce food waste across its inpatient services.

The Trust recently took part in Nottingham City Council's Big Nottingham Travel Challenge, an initiative encouraging people across the city to choose healthier, more sustainable ways to travel, hosted by Nottingham City Council.

Seven years ago, Evie Newman, from South Nottinghamshire, was discharged from Hopewood, a purpose-built facility for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and Perinatal Services, run by Nottinghamshire Healthcare, after struggling with an eating disorder. Whilst there she experienced first-hand the profound impact that compassionate professionals can have during some of the most difficult moments in a person's life. 

Thanks to the Trust's Community Stroke team, a patient now has improved mobility and is hoping he can achieve his goal of a charity walk with his daughter.

The bereavement groups, run by the Trust's Chaplaincy and Psychology teams, have provided invaluable support, friendships and connections during loss.

The programme is already demonstrating sustained impact - reducing the most serious falls, supporting residents to remain in familiar surroundings.

A pioneering treatment model in Nottingham helping people with mental health and substance use needs has been praised, after a visit by a top government drugs Czar.
