We want everyone to be able to get information about their care and understand it.

If you have a disability, hearing loss, sight loss, a learning disability, or if English is not your first language, we can help you access our services.

We follow the Accessible Information Standard. This means we make sure people get information in a way they can understand and receive support to communicate with us.

We will:

  • ask if you have any information or communication needs
  • ask how we can support you
  • record your needs on your record
  • make sure staff know about your needs
  • share information about your needs with other NHS and social care services, if you agree
  • provide information in accessible formats where possible
  • arrange communication support when needed

Please tell us if you have any information or communication needs so we can support you in the best way.

  • face-to-face interpreters

About Nottinghamshire Healthcare

Making a complaint

The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman has made this film to explain how to make a complaint.

SignVideo

Nottinghamshire Healthcare has partnered with SignVideo to provide a Video Relay Service, so that Deaf people can independently communicate with the Trust in British Sign Language (BSL).

We are committed to ensuring that everyone who needs to contact our organisation can do so.

The SignVideo service allows users to make BSL interpreted video calls via their tablet, smartphone, computer, or laptop.

A professionally qualified interpreter then relays the call in spoken English to a member of staff at the Trust in real time, using a video relay system.

It’s easy to call Nottinghamshire Healthcare using SignVideo. Simply download the SignVideo app and find us on the BSL directory. Alternatively, you can click on one of the direct links from our website.

Connect to SignVideo via your chosen location below or download the SignVideo app.

Please use the above for all general and corporate services calls.

For a particular hospital or service then please see below.

Answers to some of the most frequently asked questions can be found here.

You acknowledge and agree that Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust assumes no responsibility for confidential or sensitive information shared with SignVideo during a call. SignVideo's Privacy Policy provides details of how they protect your information.

A full directory of all businesses and organisations using the SignVideo service can be found here.

Our commitment to accessibility

We are committed to treating everyone fairly and with respect. We want our services to be easy to use, easy to understand, and open to everyone.
