We support adults with a learning disability and or autism who may be at risk of becoming involved with the criminal justice system. We work across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire.
Our team includes a range of professionals, such as:
We work with people to make sure they receive the right assessments, treatment and support. We aim to help people stay well and support their recovery.
We may support people who are in secure hospitals to move back into the community when they are ready. We also offer specialist advice and support to other services.
For people with complex needs or higher levels of risk, we provide care coordination using the Care Programme Approach.
We are currently prioritising cases identified by Transforming Care. Therefore we are not currently accepting community referrals external from this. However we can discuss and review community cases which may require forensic risk advice and guidance. To make a referral please complete one of the forms below and return to the following email address: CommunityForensicIDD@nottshc.nhs.uk
