We deliver a high quality service to adults (aged 18 and over) in Nottinghamshire County who have acquired swallowing, speech and other communication problems. Our staff will work with you if you have therapy needs due to neurological conditions such as:

  • Stroke
  • Motor Neurone Disease
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Parkinson's Disease
  • Brain injury
  • Dementia (swallowing impairment only )
  • Any other condition that causes swallowing and/or communication difficulties

We aim to help you recover your swallowing and communication abilities as much as possible and to manage long term problems. We also support people who are being cared for at the end of their lives.

We see patients in a number of places across Nottinghamshire, including their own home when required.

  • Stapleford Care Centre
  • Ashfield Health and Wellbeing Centre
  • Cotgrave Health Centre
  • Park House
  • Retford Primary Care Centre

Our staff also work in a specialist multi professional community team in Bassetlaw that provides rehabilitation for people with a neurological condition, including stroke.

Most consultations are one-to-one but group therapy is also provided, when appropriate. We can also offer online options.
